Matching Gifts

If your employer has a matching gifts program, doubling your donation to Randolph Elementary can be as simple as filling out a form!

What is a matching gifts program?

Many businesses, including banks, high-tech firms, large retailers and a growing number of smaller companies, give back to their communities by matching their employees’ contributions to nonprofits, Some companies even match gifts made by retirees and spouses!

How does it work?

1. Click here to find out if your employer offers a matching gifts program. If your employer is listed, it is likely that they offer a matching gifts program. If your company is not listed, check with your HR department to see if they offer one. If you find out your employer does offer a matching gift program but isn’t on our list, please let us know so that we can add them.

2. Obtain a matching gift form. Your employer (usually the HR department) will provide you with all the information needed to process your matching gift request. Some corporate intranet sites allow employees to apply directly online. Others provide forms that can be printed out and mailed.

3. Send the completed form with your check (made out to Randolph Elementary School) to:

Randolph Elementary School
1552 Sheppard Town Road
Crozier, VA 23039
(RES tax ID is 54-6001316, RES PTA tax ID is 54-1578807)

Additional information

For many companies, the minimum gift matched is $25 to $50. Employees are usually entitled to several matches per year, up to several hundred or thousand dollars. Already donated? No problem. Many companies will match your charitable gifts for up to 12 months after you’ve given. Common ways to pledge donations at your company include one-time or ongoing payroll deductions, personal check, credit card, and stock or securities. Check with your employer to see when the gift will be sent to Randolph. If you pay by personal check or credit card or during a one-time payroll deduction, Randolph may receive the money in a few months. If you have ongoing payroll deductions, Randolph will most likely receive regular amounts over the course of a year.
